The second season of the preschool series Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends is slated to bow on Disney Channel and Disney Junior on August 19.

From Disney Branded Television, the new season will feature a “Glow Webs Glow” storyline and single from series songwriter and composer Patrick Stump, who will also guest star in an episode. Other season two guest stars include Bindi Irwin (Crikey! It’s the Irwins) as oceanographer Isla Coralton and Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) as Gwen Stacy’s dad, George.

Previously announced as guest stars, John Stamos (Big Shot) will play Iron Man/Tony Stark, while Sean Giambrone (The Goldbergs) will be Ant-Man.

An initial batch of Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends episodes will be rolled out on Disney+ and on-demand platforms this fall. In anticipation of the new season, a collection of ten animated shorts introducing the trio of young superheroes—Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy and Miles Morales—launched on Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney Junior YouTube and Marvel HQ YouTube earlier this summer and will be available on Disney+ beginning August 17.

Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends was recently picked up for a third season. It is produced by Disney Junior and Marvel Studios in association with Atomic Cartoons.
