Média-Participations has hired Lila Hannou as VP of creative development and strategy of the company’s audiovisual production division.

In her new role, Hannou, previously director of animation co-productions and prebuys for the M6 Group, will lead all developments, shape the overall strategy of the audiovisual division and work to accelerate growth in co-productions.

Hannou originally joined the M6 Group as a marketing researcher for M6 Publicité before becoming part of the youth programs division, where she was an artistic adviser for five years. She worked her way up to being the director of youth programs for M6 Kid, where she coordinated the editorial strategy of animation acquisitions and prebuys. Following the M6 Group’s acquisitions of Gulli, TiJi and Canal J, Hannou was appointed director of animation co-productions and prebuys for the whole group.

“Lila’s arrival is an important step in the development strategy that we are steering forward with Julien Papelier, at the head of the Média-Participations group’s audiovisual business,” said Caroline Audebert, managing director, who Hannou will be working closely with. “Her expertise and knowledge of the animation sector in France and abroad will be very precious to us in initiating and supporting the significant projects we want to produce. Cartoon Forum, where next week we will be presenting Living with Dad for Dupuis Edition et Audiovisuel, and Under the School with Ellispanime Productions, will be our first outings together. I’m thrilled to welcome her to the team that I’ve had the pleasure of leading for the past few months.”
