ITV Picks Up The Guava Juice Show

ITV has picked up two seasons of the animated comedy adventure The Guava Juice Show from CAKE to stream on ITVX in the fall.

The series, a YouTube original that stars Roi Fabito, follows the adventures of 14-year-old Roi and his best friends, a fearless fellow teen and a risk-averse neurotic talking fruit, as they work at a mysterious curio shop.

The Guava Juice Show is produced by Mainframe Studios (Team Zenko Go, Octonauts: Above & Beyond, Unicorn Academy) and Studio 71. It was created by John Hazlett, Lienne Sawatsky and Dan Williams. Fabito, Mainframe’s Gregory R. Little and Studio71’s Michael Schreiber are executive producers, alongside Michael Hefferon, Adam Boorstin, Hazlett, Sawatsky and Williams.

The series was awarded best screenwriting for a children’s series at the WGC Screenwriting Awards 2023 and nominated for two Leo Awards for best animation series and best art direction.

The Guava Juice Show is an exciting new addition to our kids’ offering on ITVX, and it’s great to be working with CAKE again,” said Darren Nartey, acquisitions manager at ITV. “Fans of Roi Fabito and The Guava Juice Show will be able to stream it on our platform and new audiences can discover the brilliant animation.”

Ed Galton, CEO at CAKE, added, “We are delighted to partner with ITV once more and look forward to introducing viewers to the wacky and wonderful universe of The Guava Juice Show in this ultimate tale of friendship and hilarious adventure!”
