Imira Entertainment has secured distribution deals with partners such as Netflix and SUPER RTL ahead of MIPJunior and MIPCOM, where it will present its slate of kids’ titles.

Netflix picked up Bat Pat for Latin America (excluding Brazil) and Spain, while SUPER RTL in Germany went for the 52-episode second season of Lucky Fred, which is currently in production. Telecom Italia, meanwhile, picked up the first three seasons of Larva.

Additionally, Telefónica inked a seven-title package deal for its platforms in Peru and Ecuador. In Brazil, Globosat signed on for the preschool series Hogie the Globehopper and YoYo. VTR, an SVOD platform in Chile, took six titles from Imira’s catalog. In addition, Discovery will air the animated movie Bunyan & Babe, while in the U.S., Ion Media Entertainment went for Sandra, the Fairytale Detective.

Imira’s CEO, Sergi Reitg, commented, “Imira is coming to MIPCOM with an excellent sales evolution in recent years, which has enabled us to incorporate new titles of the highest level and quality, and with worldwide rights. The current growth situation of the market, coupled with a better kids’ catalog with worldwide rights and our dubbing and materials delivery system, makes Imira an ideal partner for international linear broadcasters, new platforms and pay-TV channels. During MIPCOM we will announce important product sales as well as new titles in which Imira participates as distributor.

“In addition, we have a tremendous satisfaction in seeing how our area of TV channels for kids is growing and consolidating day by day with new agreements.”

Imira’s MIPJunior and MIPCOM slate will feature the non-dialogue comedy ZellyGo, which comprises 104 CGI animated shorts that are each a minute-and-a-half long. “ZellyGo is a fantastic and original series for the whole family, and we are sure it will generate big sales in the market soon,” added Reitg. There is also the non-dialogue comedy Cam & Leon.

BabyRiki, an edutainment program geared toward preschoolers, is another highlight that Imra will showcase at the market, alongside PinCode, a science-themed CGI animated comedy. “BabyRiki is an innovative and attractive approach to preparing the little ones at home for the world they are to grow up in,” Reitg said. “PinCode is an edutainment science series with huge doses of comedy and ingenuity, helping 6- to 10-year-olds learn about the world we share.”

Other highlights include Darwin & Newts, Smighties and Sindbad and the 7 Galaxies. Imira is also presenting Badanamu Cadets from Calm Island.
