MADRID: Nottingham Forest has inked several licensing deals for the animated series Super Wings in Iberia.

Panini will develop products in the publishing category (collectibles, books and an official magazine), while Cerdá Group will manufacture back-to-school items, apparel, shoes and gift products. Karacter Shoes will launch different lines of shoes for kids and Dolci Preziosi will manage the confectionary category, including products such as candy and chocolates. Stor will handle tableware products. All of these lines are slated to launch in 2017, though Color Baby will roll out Super Wings toys this September.

The 52×11-minute series premiered May 30 on Spanish kids’ channel CLAN. The series tells the story of a jet plane named Jett who travels the world delivering packages to children. On every delivery, Jett encounters a new problem that he and his friends the Super Wings must work together to solve.

Laura García Ortega, the commercial director of Nottingham Forest, said: “Super Wings is a wonderful series that lands in Spain in the middle of great international success, and is already giving us [a lot of] good news. Super Wings has all the ingredients to succeed: adorable content, a very well-designed product strategy and a strong interest from retail.”
