The new preschool animated series Hushabye Lullabye, produced by Glasgow-based MaraKids, is slated to premiere on CBeebies this week.

In each episode of Hushabye Lullabye, the alien Dillie Dally climbs aboard the Hushabye Rocket on an interactive musical journey, exploring Planet Dream. The 10×3-minute series will debut on the BBC children’s channel CBeebies at 6:48 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, before the Bedtime Story in the Bedtime Hour. All episodes are also available on BBC iPlayer and as a box set.

Sacha Kyle is the creator, writer and director behind the project, working with animators Once Were Farmers of Stirling and MaraKids. The original music and lullabies from the series will be published by Red Rocca on Spotify, Amazon and iTunes.

Kyle said: “Hushabye Lullabye has been created to incorporate the powerful benefits of lullabies in a way which is both loving and playful, and I am passionate about bringing the tradition of lullabies to contemporary early years’ audiences.”
