Hopster is to be included in Roku’s new premium subscription service within The Roku Channel.

As a launch partner, the preschool learning and entertainment app will be among the select video streaming services that will be offering their content via the newly extended entertainment experience. Hopster will offer Roku users its ad-free children’s service via TV and the web, as well as The Roku Channel’s mobile app.

By integrating its lineup of educational preschool content into The Roku Channel, Hopster will allow users to subscribe to the video streaming service using their existing Roku account details. After an initial seven-day free trial, it will be priced at $4.99 a month.

Claire Hunter Gregson, commercial director at Hopster, said: “The Roku Channel is one of the most-watched channels on the Roku platform so we couldn’t be more excited to be a launch partner in its expansion. We are thrilled to be able to offer families an easy way to access our beloved educational preschool content and to make it as seamless to start a trial and subscribe to our service as possible.

“Our mission is to help parents keep their youngsters amazed with educational shows, original animations, fun children’s music and books wherever they are. We hope that the great user experience that The Roku Channel offers will help families to find and enjoy our hand-selected content be it at home, or on the go.”
