First Luna Petunia Toy Range Launches in U.K.

Saban Brands is rolling out the first toy line inspired by the preschool property Cirque du Soleil Junior: Luna Petunia in the U.K. from master toy partner Funrise Toys.

This month, Smyths in the U.K. debuted Funrise Toys’ line, which features Luna Petunia playsets, figures, plush, dolls and role-play items, available both in-stores and online. The toy range will also roll out with Amazon, Debenhams, Toymaster, Ken Black Toys and independent retailers in October.

Funrise will launch marketing initiatives, from TV and in-cinema advertising to promotional campaigns with Tiny Pop, girl-targeted magazines and more. In addition, Saban Brands teamed up with YouTube influencer Emily Tube to showcase the brand-new toy range in a series of videos that went live between September 8 and 11. The videos highlight key SKUs, including the Luna Petunia talking doll, collectible figures, plush, sparkle gem necklace and the Fabulosa Café playset. Saban Brands and Cirque du Soleil partnered to develop the series, which debuted on Netflix in December 2016 and is currently streaming its second season.
