The third and final season of Sony Pictures Television—Kids’ Hilda is set to debut on Netflix on December 7.
Hilda returns with an appetite for more adventure and is lured into mystical worlds that lead her to a deeper understanding of who she really is. The seven-episode season will conclude with a 70-minute finale.
The animated series is based on the graphic novels by Luke Pearson and is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television—Kids and Mercury Films. Since its debut in September 2018, the series has won three Daytime Emmys and a Children’s BAFTA, among other awards.
“Over the course of three incredible seasons, Hilda has amassed a loyal and passionate community of fans that have embraced its unique visual style, emotional depth and gripping narratives rooted in Northern European mythology,” said Kurt Mueller, executive VP of creative content at Sony Pictures Television—Kids and executive producer of Hilda. “We’re so proud of everything the show has achieved, which is a tribute to the legion of brilliant creatives involved across every phase of this production, and we can’t wait to bring the final chapter to audiences at the end of the year.”
