TORONTO: Canada’s Family Channel is premiering the sophomore season of Degrassi: Next Class in July as part of its F2N teen programming block.

The drama series is coming to the F2N lineup on July 19 at 9:45 p.m. Following the network debut, the entire season will be released in the F2N section of the Family Channel app on July 22. The app will feature all ten episodes from the new season free of charge to Family Channel subscribers.

Season two picks up after the epic events of Degrassi’s Snow Ball, which saw students forced into a school lockdown. The latest season will feature the 500th episode in the Degrassi franchise.

Degrassi: Next Class is produced by DHX Media in association with Family Channel and Netflix. The series was co-created by Linda Schuyler, who serves as executive producer with Stephen Stohn, Sarah Glinski and Matt Huether. Seasons three and four are currently being filmed at DHX Studios’s Toronto production facility and will debut on Family Channel in 2017.
