Entertainment One (eOne) has inked a free-to-air broadcast deal for PJ Masks with Australia’s ABC Kids, where the preschool series is scheduled to premiere next month.

PJ Masks first debuted in Australia on Disney Junior in March 2016. The animated superhero show is slated to begin airing on ABC Kids on Monday, July 3. The Aussie broadcaster is already home to the eOne preschool series Peppa Pig and Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom.

The PJ Masks licensing program in Australia includes 15 partners across a variety of categories. Just Play will begin rolling out its master toy line in August. Additional licensees launching products in the country later this year are Parragon Publishing with a range of books; Amscan with partyware; MJM with puzzles and games; Caprice Australia with apparel; Rubies’ Deerfield with dress-up items; and Zak Australia with lunchware.

Monica Candiani, the head of international sales at Entertainment One, said: “We’re thrilled that the adventures of the PJ Masks will be watched in more homes across Australia when the show launches on ABC Kids. Around the world the show’s fan base continues to accelerate at a remarkable pace and we see tremendous potential for the property in Australia.”
