The science-fiction series Endlings, produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment in partnership with CBC and Hulu, has commenced filming its sophomore season in Guelph.

Set after an alien plane crash, Endlings follows a group of four teenagers who embark on an adventure to find the unique creatures who landed on their foster family’s farm and dispersed across the landscape. With the help of their foster dad, the teens attempt to retrieve the creatures before the local police and a secretive industrialist.

Endlings was created by J.J. Johnson, whose inspiration for the project was a report from the World Wildlife Fund that detailed the decline of global animal populations from 1970 to 2012. Endlings airs in Canada on CBC and CBC Gem. It will be available in the U.S. via streaming service Hulu.
