James Van Der Beek (Dawson’s Creek) and Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls) have joined the voice cast of Vampirina, Disney Junior’s new animated show premiering later this year.

Vampirina centers on a lovable young vampire nicknamed Vee—voiced by Colony‘s Isabella Crovetti—who moves with her family from Transylvania to Pennsylvania. Van Der Beek and Graham will portray Boris and Oxana Hauntley, Vee’s parents. The recurring guest voice cast includes Patti LuPone (Evita) and Brian Stokes Mitchell (Kiss Me, Kate) as Vee’s grandparents, and Wanda Sykes (black-ish) as her gargoyle sidekick. The musical show will debut in the fall on Disney Channel, Disney Junior and the new Disney NOW app.

Vampirina was inspired by Disney Publishing’s popular children’s book series Vampirina Ballerina. The show is produced by Brown Bag Films in association with Disney Junior. It is executive produced by Doc McStuffins‘ Chris Nee and Norton Virgien, with Nicky Phelan (Octonauts) serving as director.
