Disney Updates WATCH Apps for Apple TV

BURBANK: Disney/ABC Television Group has updated its various WATCH Disney apps for the new Apple TV.

WATCH Disney Channel, WATCH Disney XD and WATCH Disney Junior are now compatible with the tvOS platform. The updates include character-driven navigation that makes it easier for kids to browse and watch their favorite shows; the ability to quickly swipe through show menus using the new Siri remote; and access to Apple TV’s Top Shelf capabilities, which let viewers find the last show they watched and resume playing or find a new episode of a show just by hovering over the app.

The WATCH Disney apps let authenticated viewers find full episodes of Disney shows on demand for free anytime, anywhere on their desktop, smartphone, tablet or connected TV devices. The group also announced that WATCH ABC will be updated in 2016.
