DHX Media Programming Lands on Virgin TV


DHX Media has licensed 615 half-hours of content to Virgin TV for streaming in the U.K. and Ireland, and TV3 Ireland for linear broadcast.

A total of 30 titles from the company’s catalog have been licensed on a non-exclusive basis. The agreement includes seasons 15 through 19 of Bob the Builder and nine specials; seasons 6 through 9 of Fireman Sam as well as three specials; the first five installments of In the Night Garden; seven Air Bud movies; and the DHX Media original animated series Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Wiebke Hoefer, DHX Media’s senior director of sales for Germany, Switzerland, France, U.K. digital and multi-territory digital, remarked: “We’re thrilled to have signed our third and largest deal to date with Virgin TV, reinforcing our position as a go-to provider of kids’ content to the world’s top SVOD and linear broadcasters.
