CAKE has bolstered its production and development business with two new appointments, including the promotion of Ciara Breslin to senior VP of production.

Breslin, formerly VP of production, will drive CAKE’s growing slate of co-productions and oversee ongoing and future production partnerships. She joined the company in 2020 as a producer for Mama K’s Team 4.

Breslin brings over 25 years of experience in animation and children’s television to the role. She has managed animated series and features for studios around the world, including MTV Animation, Hahn Film and Caligari Film.

As senior VP of production, Breslin will report directly to CEO Ed Galton.

Additionally, CAKE has hired Martha Sepulveda as senior development executive, reporting to Daniel Bays, senior VP of development. Sepulveda will lead the creative development on a number of series with creators from around the world, particularly those from North and South America.

Sepulveda has over 15 years of international experience in kids’ media development and production and has worked with Sinking Ship Entertainment, Breakthrough Entertainment and, most recently, 9 Story.

“CAKE’s development and production slate continues to grow, and we are thrilled that Ciara, with her wealth of experience, will lead productions on our current and future shows,” said Galton. “We are also delighted to welcome Martha, who brings with her a passion for discovering and nurturing diverse talent and bringing underrepresented voices and stories to light, and we look forward to the opportunities she will bring to CAKE.”
