Groupe Média TFO, ICI Radio-Canada Télé and Frima Originals have for the first time adapted the stories of Canadian comic book hero Jon Le Bon for TV and digital platforms.

The James Bond-inspired secret agent is being featured in a ten-episode series on TFO and a web series on the TFLIX TFO YouTube channel. The comic by author Alex A. has sold more than 800,000 copies since its release in 2011.

Voicing Jon Le Bon in the 90-second-episode series is comedian Pier-Luc Funk, alongside Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse in the role of Bulle, an expert in espionage and infiltration. The series sees Jon Le Bon and Bulle embark on zany adventures.

The episodes broadcast on-air Monday through Friday as an in-betweener on TFO, on TFO in succession on Saturdays at 6:30 p.m., on TFO Sundays at 7 p.m., on ICI Radio-Canada Télé starting April 7 and then online on the Kids Zone, and online on ICI TOU.TV starting April 11. All episodes, as well as two exclusive interviews, will be broadcast on TFLIX TFO.

Additionally, young fans will have the chance to read the brand-new comic L’ADN de l’impossible from Presses Aventure Editions on April 11. The official launch of the latest book will take place during the Salon International du Livre de Québec and Festival Québec BD.

Jon Le Bon is a fun and educational production project, enriched by its format adapted to the viewing habits of kids,” said Sandrine Pechels de Saint Sardos, the director of disruption and distribution platforms at Groupe Média TFO. “It’s an exciting project that charmed young Francophone Canadians through its comic form, and we are delighted to be expanding its universe through these little clips. With these episodes, 6- to 9-year-olds will be engaged and motivated to improve their problem-solving skills and ability to work with others. I want to heartily thank our partner, Frima Originals, and especially executive producer Renaud Sylvain, for this successful collaboration!”
