CAKE has teamed up with Annie Mumolo, writer of Bridesmaids and Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar, and comedian Ariane Price for Lulu and The Help You Crew.
The 52×11-minute series centers on 8-year-old Lulu, who lives in the multicultural town of Vista Feliz with her Argentinean grandmother and an eccentric crew of rescue pets. Together, Lulu and her crew help the town’s animals overcome challenges such as feeling overwhelmed by new experiences, dealing with sibling rivalry, being afraid of the dark and more.
The 3D CG series is being developed with Reel FX Animation. CAKE will distribute the show internationally.
“Lulu and The Help You Crew is a show that we feel perfectly meets the needs of our time,” said Ed Galton, CEO of CAKE. “Ariane and Annie are stars on the improv scene, so we are very excited about what that can bring to younger audiences.”
