LONDON: CAKE is heading to MIPTV with Angry Birds Blues, a brand-new comedy series featuring the bluebirds and the hatchlings from The Angry Birds Movie.

Intended for kids aged 6 to 12, the edgy comedy follows the antics of mischievous bluebird triplets Jake, Jay and Jim. When these three are not under the watchful eyes of their parents, they dive headfirst into outrageous escapades on Bird Island. Their feats are usually complicated by the naïve baby hatchlings.

Angry Birds Blues is a 30×2.5-minute non-dialogue series produced by Rovio Entertainment and distributed worldwide by CAKE.

In addition, CAKE will be presenting brand-new episodes from Piggy Tales: 4th Street, the fourth series of Piggy Tales.

Ed Galton, the CCO and managing director of CAKE said, “Angry Birds Blues is a great addition to the Angry Birds franchise, which now consists of ten series. The cute, lovable characters are already a hit with fans all over the world and we are looking forward to launching the series at MIPTV.”

Alex Lambeek, the chief commercial officer at Rovio, added, “We are very excited to have the adorably mischievous Blues teaming up with the Hatchlings in various shenanigans! They will delight and entertain our fans while introducing these newest additions to the Angry Birds flock to our vast audiences. It is great to continue our successful cooperation with CAKE and we look very much forward to the series’ launch at MIPTV in April.”
