SINGAPORE: Bomanbridge Media has sold several kids’ series, including the award-winning Odd Squad, to broadcasters in Asia.

Discovery Kids Asia acquired multiple titles, including seasons one and two of the live-action comedy Odd Squad, the animated series Chirp and three seasons of Giver. TVB in Hong Kong also snapped up two seasons of Giver, which sees kids in Ontario work alongside community volunteers to improve playground spaces. JEI TV in South Korea, meanwhile, went for the art-themed show Box Yourself.

Odd Squad is about two kids, Agent Olive and Agent Otto, who work for a government agency run by children in suits who are equipped with the world’s most advanced and unpredictable gadgetry. Chirp, meanwhile, follows best friends Chirp, Squawk and Tweet, who use their imaginations and everyday objects to get themselves into and out of adventures and sticky situations. In Box Yourself, host Øistein teaches kids about art and shows them how to recycle, upcycle, draw, build and paint.

Additionally, Bomanbridge is working with the producers of some of the shows to co-develop formats for the Asian market and eventually take them worldwide. Odd Squad, Chirp and Giver all come from Sinking Ship Entertainment. Box Yourself is produced by Earthtree Productions.

Sonia Fleck, the CEO of Bomanbridge Media, said, “Bomanbridge brings the best in edutainment from around the world to children in Asia: Odd Squad, Giver, Chirp and Box Yourself are award-winnings kids’ shows that stimulate, engage and empower while entertaining. We are pleased to bring these great kids’ programming to our close partners in the region. These shows are also great formats which would work really well in our local context, therefore we are working closely with our producers to bring these projects to the next stage in Asia.”
