Blue Spirit Welcomes Two New Artistic Producers

Blue Spirit Productions is strengthening its team with the appointment of Caroline Oustlant as artistic director to develop animated series projects and Sara Wikler as artistic director of the company’s Sinematik label dedicated to features.

Oustlant will be in charge of initiating new series and supporting in-development projects, including Blue Spirit’s The Borrowers, a show based on the Mary Norton novels. Wikler will be in charge of developing the company’s features and will join the development of The Ballad of Yaya, a film adaptation of the Franco-Chinese comic albums by the same name.

Oustlant was previously in charge of animation features at children’s channel Lagardère and has also written several of her own series. Wikler was in charge of Cinema France acquisitions at Canal+ until 2016, a position she held for 18 years. She comes to Blue Spirit from STUDIOCANAL, where she was in charge of artistic coordination of developments.
