BBC Worldwide has licensed The Bagel & Becky Show, an animated series from Canada, to CITV in the U.K.

Under the three-year agreement, CITV secured the first-window rights to air the 52×11-minute program in the U.K. on weekdays at 4:30 p.m. beginning this month. The Bagel & Becky Show is created by Radical Sheep Productions. It is executive produced by John Leitch and Michelle Melanson Cuperus, with Doug Hadders and Adam Rotstein (Inspector Gadget) serving as showrunners.

Kate Childs, sales manager for the U.K. at BBC Worldwide, commented: “The Bagel & Becky Show is fast-paced, witty and slightly anarchic, and we’re delighted but not surprised that CITV has picked it up for their schedule.”

Darren Nartey, program acquisitions executive at ITV, noted: “We’re delighted that The Bagel & Becky Show is coming to CITV. I’m sure that our viewers will be thrilled to follow the exploits of this dog-and-cat duo as they embark on adventures in Awkward Falls.”

Nathan Waddington, children’s genre manager at BBC Worldwide, added: “This is great news for an expertly written and beautifully realized title, which we’re proud to have in our suite of shows at this year’s MIPJunior.”
