BBC Kids Launches in South Africa, Taiwan

BBC Studios has partnered with Switch Media and MTN to launch BBC Kids in South Africa.

BBC Kids also recently debuted on the OTT platform MyVideo in Taiwan. With more than 100 hours of programming for kids aged up to 12, shows available in Taiwan include the natural-history series Spy in the Wild and the cookery show My World Kitchen.

BBC Kids offers inspiring, educational and entertaining BBC content for families and children aged up to 12. The channel is ad-free and curates the BBC’s children’s programming according to age, with dedicated sections aimed at preschool and older primary school children.

In South Africa, BBC Kids is downloadable via the App Store or Play Store and available to MTN customers via a flexible daily, weekly or monthly subscription. The programming for preschoolers includes Hey Duggee, Sarah & Duck, JoJo & Gran Gran, Yakka Dee and Swashbuckle, while offerings for the older set include Jamie Johnson, Harry Potter: A History of Magic, The Bagel and Becky Show, Horrible Histories and Gangsta Granny.
