Amazon Reveals Global Debut Date for Pete the Cat

Amazon Prime Video’s new book-based animated series Pete the Cat, featuring original music from Grammy winners Elvis Costello and Diana Krall, is slated to become available on the streaming service around the globe next month.

Pete the Cat centers on a young feline who loves to explore the world and try new things. The musical show, which includes the voices of Jacob Tremblay as well as Costello and Krall, aims to encourage kids to be curious, creative, positive and unique. It debuts on Amazon Prime Video on September 21.

The Pete the Cat character was created by author/illustrator James Dean, appearing in more than 40 popular children’s books. The new animated series is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Alcon Television Group. It was developed by Jeff “Swampy” Marsh (Phineas and Ferb) and Appian Way Production Company, with Marsh serving as an executive producer.
