Amazon Prime Video Lines Up Pete the Cat Special

Amazon Prime Video is slated to premiere Pete the Cat: A Very Groovy Christmas, a new holiday special for the book-based animated show.

Pete the Cat: A Very Groovy Christmas features all-new holiday music from Jason Mraz and Dave Matthews, among others. The special includes the voices of Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, Jessica Biel and Jacob Tremblay. It is due to debut on Tuesday, November 20, in the U.S. and U.K.

The co-pro with Amazon Studios and Alcon Television Group is developed by Jeff “Swampy” Marsh (Phineas and Ferb) and Appian Way Production. Pete the Cat aims to help teach kids to accept others and have a positive attitude. The character, from author/illustrator James Dean, has been in more than 40 books.
