Alexi Wheeler Teams with Superprod for New Venture

Alexi Wheeler, former head of animation for Netflix EMEA, has set up the new U.K.-based production company Wheel In Motion in partnership with Superprod.

Wheel In Motion is set to develop an array of new shows and movies targeting diverse audiences, encompassing both animation and live-action genres.

Wheeler most recently spent five years at Netflix, where his last role was leading animated series for EMEA. Prior to Netflix, he served as VP of international production and development at Nickelodeon.

Wheeler said that Superprod is “one of the very best studios in the world right now” and believes that “The timing is perfect for a new and dynamic production company that is able to move with the times, deliver on audience needs and to establish a bold and exciting new slate of content.”

He added, “Having held senior roles at leading media companies, I feel the timing is perfect for me to channel everything I have experienced into Wheel In Motion, fostering innovation and creativity in the U.K. and beyond.”
