Al Kahn Named Chairman of Toon Goggles

LOS ANGELES: Licensing veteran Al Kahn, founder of 4Kids Entertainment, has become chairman of the board at Toon Goggles, an on-demand entertainment service for kids.

As chairman of Toon Goggles, Kahn is expected to redefine the standard content viewing model. According to a company statement, “His goal will be to bring a completely ‘new experience’ to kids by embracing Toon Goggles’ breakthrough free video-on-demand platform, providing premiere ‘can’t miss’ content and pushing the technological boundaries of the platform. Together, the clever combination of these three elements will create an entirely new experience for children everywhere.”

Throughout his career, Kahn has generated more than $15 billion in gross product sales. He has been responsible for such licensing hits as Cabbage Patch Kids, Pokémon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Yu-Gi-Oh! He is also credited with the marketing and licensing programs for such iconic brands as Mario Bros., Zelda, Donkey Kong and James Bond, among others.
