Spiffy Pictures Bolsters Leadership

Kids’ TV veteran Danielle Gillis (Karma’s World, Arthur) has joined Spiffy Pictures in the newly created role of VP of strategy and business development.

“I’ve been laughing and singing along to Spiffy’s shows for years, so I feel incredibly lucky to join the team and help them grow,” said Gillis. “Their creative legacy and best-in-class collaborations provide exactly the kind of joy and learning that kids and families are craving now more than ever.”

Having helped expand audience reach and strengthen brand impact with partners including Netflix, PBS Kids, Nickelodeon, National Geographic and Mattel, Gillis will now take Spiffy’s creative vision and identify growth opportunities, shape cross-platform strategies and launch high-impact initiatives and partnerships designed to make a positive impact.

Gillis’ credits include Karma’s World (Netflix), WordGirl (PBS KIDS), Dee & Friends in Oz (Netflix), Dylan’s Playtime Adventures (Warner/Sky/CBC), Arthur (PBS KIDS), Postcards From Buster (PBS KIDS), Curious George (PBS KIDS/Universal) and Time Warp Trio (Discovery/NBC).

“Danielle shares our passion for creating funny, smart and meaningful series for kids and families,” said Spiffy co-founders Adam Rudman and David Rudman. “Her wealth of experience, coupled with her collaborative leadership style and deep understanding of the children’s entertainment business, will be invaluable as we continue to create new beloved Spiffy characters and content in this ever-evolving media landscape.”
