Nickelodeon Alum Alexi Wheeler to Join Netflix

Alexi Wheeler, former VP of animation production and development at Nickelodeon in London, has been hired by Netflix for a senior manager role.

Wheeler’s new position at the global streaming service is effective next month. He first joined Nickelodeon in the U.K. as programming manager in 2010. He has also served as founder, managing director and creative lead at Plimmy Ltd., as well as a producer for Entertainment One’s family division.

Throughout his career, Wheeler has produced more than 200 hours of kids’ programming spanning both live action and animation. He has executive produced such hit series as Peppa Pig and Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom.
