Xilam Secures €22.33 Million of Capital, Eyes Expansion

Xilam Animation has raised €22.33 million ($25.9 million) in capital, with the funds being allocated for a significant post-2019/2020 company expansion.

The planned expansion will build upon Xilam’s current success in creating, producing and distributing such original kids’ and family programming as Oggy & the Cockroaches. The company will also explore new acquisition and co-production opportunities.

Xilam issued 446,500 new shares for a total of €22.33 million ($25.9 million), which accounts for 9.09 percent of its share capital after the transaction. Following the capital increase, Marc du Pontavice, Xilam’s founder, chairman and CEO, retains 54.31 percent of the voting rights in the company.
