Luca Milano, the director of Rai Ragazzi, has been elected in Geneva as the new chairperson of the European Broadcasting Union’s EBU Kids Media Experts group.

The EBU Kids Media Experts group is meant to foster exchange and cooperation in the field of children’s offerings. In addition to Milano’s appointment, BBC’s Vanessa Amberleigh and TVE’s Yago Fandino Lousa have been tapped as deputies.

Milano remarked: “Faced with the expansion of great multinational media companies, the collaboration among European public broadcasters is more and more important, especially in the area of kids’ content, in order to preserve diversity, promote national stories and talents, and pay attention to the changing educational patterns in our societies.”
