Top Chef Being Adapted in Thailand

Channel 7 in Thailand is getting its own local version of the cooking competition Top Chef, marking the 24th adaptation of the format.

Top Chef sees aspiring chefs face off in a battle of culinary skills. Each week the chefs undertake a series of challenges, which test not only their cooking prowess but also their teamwork skills and stress endurance.

The show was originally produced by Magical Elves for Bravo in the U.S. NBCUniversal Formats has licensed the format into territories such as France, Canada, the Middle East, Brazil, Vietnam, Spain and Indonesia.

Top Chef Thailand will be produced as a 15-part series by Heliconia H Group in association with Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.
