The Latina channel in Peru has ordered a second season of the prime-time singing competition The Four.

Sold by Armoza Formats, The Four airs in Peru under the local title Los Cuatro Finalistas. The Peruvian adaptation was broadcast live, giving the country the power to choose in real time who their four would be each week.

The first season became the highest-rated show for the channel, increasing the slot’s average rating by 35 percent on its days of airing.

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, said: “We are thrilled at the success of The Four in Peru, which has created a new language in their prime time and gone straight to a season two commission. This season has been incredibly emotional, and the huge influence of the show airing live has accentuated this, creating a live event in the country that put the power in the hands of the nation, enabling them to create the stars in real time.”
