CJ ENM and Workpoint TV have struck a deal for a Thai version of the format My Boyfriend Is Better.

My Boyfriend Is Better features five girlfriends eager to showcase their boyfriends’ singing talents. The girlfriend who successfully bets on the winner across four rounds, regardless of whether it is her own boyfriend, receives all the game money as a prize.

The Thai remake of My Boyfriend Is Better builds on CJ ENM and Workpoint’s partnership from the long-running production and broadcast of I Can See Your Voice.

Diane Min, head of format sales at CJ ENM, stated, “We are absolutely thrilled to announce our very first format license deal for My Boyfriend is Better. The launch of My Boyfriend Is Better in Thailand will serve as a fantastic catalyst for the format’s global expansion. The first foreign adaptation of MBIB holds significant meaning as it exemplifies CJ ENM’s ongoing commitment to innovate and introduce fresh formats on the international stage. Being a fan of the format myself, I am eagerly waiting for the adaptation of the show to premiere in Thailand.”

Vichanee Srisawat, CMO at Workpoint TV, said, “My Boyfriend Is Better is a good combination between a singing competition and a game show. With Workpoint style local adaptation plus our three decades’ production experiences, we believe the viewers will enjoy this outrageously fun show.”
