Something Special Teams with Korean Broadcaster MBN

Something Special has signed an MOU for a partnership with Korean private broadcaster MBN to represent the international licensing rights of MBN’s formats, co-productions, local productions and developments.

MBN, one of the five major general programming channels in South Korea, airs music shows and a variety of reality, talk and factual programming. The channel has invested in formats such as Battle in the Box, represented by Something Special, and imported global formats such as Mystery Duets.

“As Something Special enters its fifth year in business, we are pleased to announce this landmark deal with MBN which will take us into our next company phase by increasing format development, production and licensing projects,” said Jin Woo Huang, president and executive producer at Something Special. “We appreciate the confidence that MBN has shown in Something Special and look forward to a strong collaboration.”
