ITV Commissions Spun Gold to Produce Quizmaster

Spun Gold TV has been commissioned to produce Quizmaster, a 90-minute special that pits previous high-profile contestants of other major TV game shows against each other.

Hosted by Jeremy Vine, Quizmaster will see 15 contestants who have appeared on such shows as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Mastermind, The Chase, Fifteen to One and University Challenge compete to be crowned the king or queen of TV quiz shows. Contestants are eliminated each round until just two remain to go head-to-head in a climactic final.

Quizmaster is a Spun Gold TV production for ITV. The format is being distributed internationally by all3media international.

Vine said: “How clever do you have to be to win a million on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Cleverer than a Mastermind Champion? Or are the students on University Challenge the brainiest? Well, we decided to find out. And you could have cut the tension in the studio with a knife. This quiz is a Christmas monster!”
