Propagate International has appointed Isabelle Azoulay as executive VP, head of formats, among other key promotions.

In her new role, Azoulay, based in Amsterdam, will oversee the sales and acquisitions for Propagate’s global formats business. She joins the company from ITV Studios Global Entertainment, where she was senior VP of licensing non-scripted for Europe and Latin America.

Prior to that, Azoulay was senior VP of licensing at Talpa Global, and she has held roles at Calt Distribution and TF1 International.

Cyrus Farrokh, president of Propagate Content International, said: “Propagate International is experiencing robust growth globally across international sales, formats and production. Isabelle’s experience in scripted and non-scripted format sales and acquisitions will be a critical component in the next phase of our international growth. I am excited to bring her in as part of our international leadership team.”

Azoulay commented: “I am thrilled to be joining Propagate International at such an exciting time for the content and distribution ecosystem. It’s inspiring to be part of Ben Silverman and Howard Owens’ successful content company, and I look forward to working with Cyrus and the whole team as we engage with valued partners across the world to build successful futures together.”

Propagate International also promoted Catalina Ramirez to VP of sales and acquisitions. She joined the company in 2020 and is the lead of partnerships among local Spanish-speaking production companies.

Dan Thunell was promoted to director of sales and development, responsible for MENA and Eastern Europe. He also manages Propagate’s local production international pipeline.

Ramirez and Thunell will continue to be based in Los Angeles.

Farrokh added: “Catalina and Dan have both played important roles in the growth of Propagate International’s operations. I look forward to their continued contribution to the expansion of our business, and consider us lucky to have them as part of our group.”
