Peking Express to Get Polish Treatment

ANTWERP: Polish channel TVN has partnered with Eccholine to produce a local adaptation of the adventure-reality format Peking Express.

TVN is working on a 13-episode version of the show, which sees celebrity couples taken to remote parts of Asia, where they must use their mental abilities and social skills to overcome a number of challenges. The contestants, who only have a dollar a day, must hitchhike for travel and find free food and shelter.

Peking Express has been produced more than 30 times in a dozen countries, including Spain and Italy. The format is available as a daily or weekly program for access and prime time.
