Poland’s TVN has commissioned an adaptation of the Banijay format Drag Me Out, with Endemol Shine Poland producing.

The series sees six bold personalities from the show business undergo a transformative experience to discover their inner queens. Under the guidance of esteemed stars of the Polish drag scene and a discerning jury, they compete in a series of challenges.

The adaptation will air on TVN as Czas na Show. Drag Me Out in an evening prime-time slot beginning this spring. It marks the third adaptation of the Mastiff TV Denmark-created format.

“We are introducing a program that opens the door to the spectacular world of drag culture,” said Lidia Kazen, director of TVN. “A world that is a form of art: expressive, colorful and inclusive. We want to bring the drag queen phenomenon closer to our viewers and consolidate TVN’s position as a progressive station. Behind each costume, there is a moving story, and Drag Me Out forms a key part of our spring schedule.”

“From our extensive Banijay catalog, we always try to identify and propose formats that will be unique and distinctive in the market,” commented Małgorzata Perkowska-Czaja, managing director of Endemol Shine Poland. “This is what Drag Me Out is—a combination of emotional stories, amazing metamorphoses and unforgettable and, above all, brave stage performances that we haven’t seen on TV before!”
