New Iteration in MasterChef Franchise

Endemol Shine Brasil is set to launch MasterChef+, which marks the first local version of the hit global culinary series to feature contestants aged 60-plus, in Brazil with both Band and Discovery Home & Health.

Endemol Shine Brasil has produced MasterChef Brasil for eight years successfully on Band. In addition to airing on Band, the new series will be shown weekly on Discovery Home & Health and streamed on discovery+ in Brazil. Viewers in Brazil will also be able to follow each episode through the official MasterChef Brasil YouTube channel.  

“We have enjoyed a tremendous amount of success with MasterChef here in Brazil, and we are thrilled to be producing this new iteration, MasterChef+, with our partners at Band and Discovery featuring amateur chefs that bring a lot of experience into the kitchen,” said Nani Freitas, CEO of Endemol Shine Brasil.

In the series, 20 candidates from various regions of Brazil will compete in the first and present their dishes to acclaimed chefs and judges Erick Jacquin, Helena Rizzo and Henrique Fogaça. The judges will receive help from guest chefs Mara Salles, Benny Novak and Renata Braune.
