ITV Studios Lands Queens for the Night

ITV Studios has sealed a deal with Tuesday’s Child for the exclusive rights to produce the new celebrity drag contest Queens for the Night in every market it has a non-scripted production base in.

The agreement also includes distribution rights for the format and finished versions worldwide, excluding the U.K. In the U.S., ITV America and Tuesday’s Child will co-produce. The ITV commission launches in Q4 with Lorraine Kelly as host, Melanie C as a member of the judging panel and Coronation Street star Simon Gregson as one of six celebrities set to undergo a drag makeover.

Mike Beale, managing director of the global creative network at ITV Studios, noted, “We’re very excited to be taking Queens for the Night out to global buyers at MIPCOM in Cannes next week. We know that the world of drag is a source of fascination worldwide, and the energy it brings to viewers is hugely entertaining. Thanks to Tuesday’s Child for entrusting it to ITV Studios.”
