France’s TF1 and Germany’s Vox have ordered localized adaptations of the ITV Studios format My Mum, Your Dad.

The dating show follows a group of single parents who have been nominated by their young adult children for a second chance at love. ITV Studios France and ITV Studios Germany will be producing the local versions in their respective markets.

France and Germany join the U.K., Sweden, Australia and New Zealand in commissioning adaptations of the format. The U.K. version has been renamed from The Romance Retreat and is being produced by Lifted Entertainment for ITV1 and ITVX. In Sweden, the series is produced by ITV Studios Sweden and airs on TV4, while in Australia, it is produced by ITV Studios Australia and airs on Nine Network. In New Zealand, ThreeNow and Three commissioned the show, and it will be a co-production between Warner Bros. International Television Production and ITV Studios Australia.

The format originated in the U.S., where it was produced by ITV America’s ITV Entertainment in association with Rombola Entertainment for HBO Max. ITV Studios distributes the format and all finished versions of the show internationally.

My Mum, Your Dad is one of the most exciting formats we have seen for a long time—full of heart and laughter, but oh my god is it awkward!” said Ruth Berry, managing director of global partnerships at ITV Studios. “We’ve been desperate to talk about how well it’s been selling, but there’s only so much we can share when it comes to a format like this.”
