Love Island, the hit dating format from ITV Studios and Motion Content Group, is headed to Albania and Malta for the first time.

TV Klan has commissioned two seasons for Albania for a spring 2023 launch. TVM in Malta launches its adaptation, produced by Media Exclusive Limited, in May of next year.

The format continues to land renewals in key markets; TV4 Sweden is on board for a third season from ITV Studios Sweden. Nine recently launched a new season in Australia, while a second season just wrapped in the Czech Republic.

Arjan Pomper, managing director of global entertainment at ITV Studios, noted, “Reaching 25 territories is a fantastic milestone. This globally loved show is breaking records everywhere, and we are really excited that audiences in Albania and Malta will enjoy their very first local seasons of Love Island very soon!”
