Love Is Blind Getting German Version

Netflix has ordered an adaptation of Love Is Blind that features singletons in Germany, Austria and Switzerland who want to be loved for who they are rather than what they look like.

Netflix, together with its German production partner Redseven Entertainment, is currently casting for 30 singles driven by a shared desire for big, true love. An initial ten episodes have been ordered.

The participants will begin by talking to potential partners without being distracted by the other person’s appearance. They will then propose to their chosen partner and only see their fiancé for the first time. In the real world, couples will try to complement their emotional bond with a physical one as they plan their wedding day together.

The original U.S. version of the show, produced by Kinetic Content, premiered on Netflix in 2020. The fourth season was released in April 2023. The format has also been adapted in Brazil and Japan and is currently in the works in Sweden and the U.K.
