Armoza Formats, part of ITV Studios, has licensed the scripted comedy series La Famiglia to CTC in Russia and Antenna 1 in Greece for two new local adaptations.

Developed and produced by United Studios of Israel and created by Ran Dovrat, Avi Belkin and Ohad Perach, La Famiglia follows the lives of an ordinary suburban family living in the divorce capital of the country. Though they have many reasons to be happy, they also have many to go to therapy, with their therapy sessions serving as gateways to flashbacks to the comical scenes from their lives.

The original Israeli series has aired three successful seasons on Channel 10 and Reshet 13. A second season of the Cypriot adaptation recently aired on Alpha TV, with a third season already commissioned. Mind the Malhotras, the adaptation of the format in India, began streaming on Amazon Prime Video in 2019.

George Pofantis, chief content officer of Antenna Greece, said: “Antenna is very keen to include La Famiglia in our schedule. It is a comedy that touches on real, everyday subjects and we are certain that it will appeal to the Greek audience. It is a great addition to our comedy schedule.”

Salome Peillon, senior sales director of Western and Southern Europe, CEE, CIS and French-speaking Canada at Armoza Formats, said: “While we can’t currently travel, our formats are still traveling all over the world and what’s better these days than a hilarious family comedy that everyone can relate to, no matter the country. Following the success of the format in Israel, India and Cyprus, we look forward to seeing these new adaptations of La Famiglia in Russia and Greece.”
