Initial has appointed Caroline Roseman, Fulwell 73’s director of development, to the newly created role of creative director of development.

Roseman will oversee the development team, generating and pitching ambitious entertainment and reality ideas for the U.K. and international clients. She will also help to devise and execute the creative strategy for the company.

In her most recent role at Fulwell 73, Roseman oversaw all unscripted development in the U.K. and U.S., with recent successes such as the BAFTA nominated An Audience with Adele for ITV, Prime Video’s The One That Got Away (which she also executive produced), Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl for Disney+, the game show Visual Suspect for TF1 in France and Sex Unzipped for Netflix.

Katy Manley, managing director of Initial to whom Roseman will report, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Caroline to the Initial family. With her fantastic track record of developing ground-breaking reality, 2023 is going to be a very exciting year for us.”

Roseman added: “I feel incredibly proud to be joining a company that has been an industry leader in entertainment, formats and live events for over three decades. Initial’s roster of returning brands and its reputation for delivering content of scale and quality is one I’m excited to build upon even further. To join forces with creative and production talent like Natalka, Claire, Katy and Jody—and to be part of the Banijay Group—makes this a dream role, and I come to it full of tenacity and ambition for the company.”
