Global Screen Sells U.S. Remake Rights for Singing Mom

MUNICH: Talent and literary firm The Gersh Agency has picked up U.S. remake rights for Singing Mom from Global Screen.

Produced by Riverside Entertainment in Germany, Singing Mom gives mothers the change to reveal their hidden musical talent on stage. Global Screen previously sold remake rights for Singing Mom to India.

Roy Ashton, the head of TV literary and packaging at Gersh, said, “We strongly believe that the strength of mothers combined with their passionate voices will resonate on a national level, assuring paramount entertainment.”

Global Screen’s head of TV sales and acquisitions, Alexandra Heidrich, added, “Singing Mom will not only guarantee a highly moving moment for the entire family but for the U.S. audience overall. We are thrilled to collaborate with Gersh on this adventure.”

Global Screen will present Singing Mom and other formats, series, TV movies and documentaries at MIPCOM.
