FremantleMedia Lines Up MIPTV Format Launches

CANNES: Using interactive mixed reality, the FremantleMedia format Lost in Time follows contestants as they compete in a series of challenges after being transported to different eras.

Lost in Time offers viewers the next generation of family entertainment, bringing special effects normally used in cinema to the small screen,” says Rob Clark, the director of global entertainment at FremantleMedia.

The Next TV Chef is a new talent show that scours the country for chefs who can captivate an audience. “It’s more than a cookery show or an obvious talent show; this is a very genuine and tangible search for the next Jamie Oliver or Nigella [Lawson],” says Clark.

There is also The Chefs’ Line, which pits the culinary skills of home cooks against the expertise of professionals.

“Our entertainment formats remain the engine for FremantleMedia’s growth, and we’ve got some exciting new properties,” says Clark.

Further highlights include Skylark’s Flashback, a studio-based format that sees three celebrities each relive a ‘flashback’ to an embarrassing story in their past, as told from the unique viewpoint of a close friend or family member, and re-enacted by the show’s troupe of actors.

Abot Hameiri’s I Know is a prime-time series that explores not only a contestant’s general knowledge but also their basic human behavior.

The Game of Love, created by FM France, is a game of detection and deception in which four couples and six singletons, secluded on a paradise island, turn amateur sleuths to guess who is paired up in order to win a cash prize.
