All3Media International has inked its first format deal for the family game show Letterbox, securing a local adaptation with CNBC-e in Turkey.

The 60-part local adaptation will be part of the CNBC-e channel relaunch and features Yiğit Kirazcı as host. The CNBC-e version features contestants from all over Turkey getting the chance to win 50,000 TL in just 50 minutes.

Letterbox is the latest All3Media International format to be developed by Shine Medya, which is also producing a local adaptation of Lingo for the Turkish market.

Letterbox was created by David Young, founder of Hindsight Productions and producer of renowned quiz shows such as The Weakest Link, Eggheads, Without Prejudice? and Who Dares Wins.

Gabriel Andrews, sales executive for Balkans, Greece, Turkey and CIS at All3Media International, commented, “We’re delighted that this highly entertaining game of wordplay has received its first format commission, for 60 episodes, and is one of the lead titles on the CNBC-e channel relaunch. The brilliant production team at Shine Medya has extensive experience in adapting international formats for Turkey and is already doing a fantastic job with a local version of our iconic quiz Lingo. So we know Letterbox is in excellent hands, and promises unforgettable moments filled with intelligence, excitement, and a grand prize! Offering an easy-to-adapt format originally developed by an acclaimed creative team, this innovative game show holds strong appeal for a wide range of viewer demographics, and we’re confident this is just the start of the international journey for Letterbox.”
