TEL AVIV: Capturing the Moment, a format in which elderly people share their experiences and wisdom on a range of complex issues, has sold into Italy and Poland.

Italian outfit Nonpanic and Poland’s Blue Angels picked up the Gil Formats title for local treatments. Those deals follow recent agreements that will see the adaptations launching in France and Spain. A Greek version is currently in pre-production, while a German version aired last fall on ZDF Neo. An Israeli adaptation is due out next month on IBA.

Each episode of the format features personal stories captured in a photo and recreated by a top photographer sometimes 50 years after the original was taken.

Assaf Gil, the CEO of Gil Formats, commented: “We launched Capturing the Moment about a year ago and we are elated to see the journey it made around the world, and still making, in this short time. This is truly a unique and emotional format. I am certain more deals are yet to come.”
